Comics for Choice Contributors: Plan C & Nomi Kane!
Plan C is a non-profit alliance of advocates who believe everyone has a right to know about the technology of medication abortion, including women in the United States. They believe women have a right to access this safe and effective technology to end their own pregnancies conveniently, confidentially, and independently.
Nomi Kane ( @nomikane is an alumni of The Center for Cartoon Studies who loves rock and roll, and the Oakland Athletics. Nomi draws editorial cartoons and short fiction comics whenever she can. By day, she works as a Staff Artist at the Schulz Studio in sunny Santa Rosa.

Tatiana Gill (@tatianagill) is a Seattle based cartoonist who uses her art to show strength and vulnerability. Themes include body-positivity, feminism, mental health and recovery. Tatiana has created dozens of self-published comic books, teaches comics, and contributes comics to local & global publications.

Claudia E. Berger (@claudiaeberger) is a New York City based cartoonist. She makes comics about mental health, mythology and houseplants, and spends way too much time thinking about science fiction.

Comics for Choice contributors: Dr. Cynthia Greenlee & Jaz Malone!
Dr. Greenlee tells the story of Dr. Dorothy Brown—the first female surgeon from Meharry, a Black medical college in Tennessee; abortion provider; and the first Black woman legislator in the state!
Dr. Cynthia Greenlee is a North Carolina-based journalist and historian. She’s the senior editor at Rewire, the go-to online site for news and commentary about reproductive justice, health, and rights in the United States. She’s also working on a history of Black Americans and abortion. Follow her @CynthiaGreenlee.
After being attacked by a billy goat at a young age, Jaz Malone decided that leaving her Detroit, MI home was for the best. She moved to Philadelphia, PA, where she received her BFA in Animation from The University of The Arts. She currently works in the tri-state area as an illustrator, digital arts instructor, and tea enthusiast. She has yet to be attacked by another goat.

Samantha Romero studied Global Studies at Randolph Macon Women’s College in Lynchburg, Virginia and is pursuing her Master’s in Sociology at the University of Texas at El Paso. She was an organizer for the Wendy Davis Campaign, which sparked her passion for reproductive justice. Samantha works full time at a Texas state senate office, is the President of the West Fund, and a member of We Testify.
Erin Lux (@erin-lux) is a Brooklyn based illustrator and cartoonist. She’s the creator of the webcomic, Fascist Friends, and many other short irreverent comics.

Lindsay Rodriguez is the Communications Manager for the National Network of Abortion Funds. She joined NNAF after serving as Board President for the Lilith Fund for Reproductive Equity. From San Antonio, she’ll always be a proud Texan who loves a dog walk, warm patio nights, and a good book.
Lucy Haslam (@laslan) graduated last year from Falmouth University, UK and now specialises in editorial work and comics. Some of these comics are made as part of the group Froglump, which has tabled at fairs around the country and does fun events together.

Comics for Choice Contributors: Heidi Williamson & Julia Krase!
These two are collaborating on a comic about reproductive freedom fighters, in a future where abortion is illegal and pregnant people are forced to comply with government monitoring.
Heidi Williamson is the Senior Policy Analyst for the Women’s Health and Rights program at the Center for American Progress and the Center for American Progress Action Fund. Prior to joining American Progress, Heidi worked for SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Health Collective and the Services Employee International Union (SEIU). She is Board Chair of SPARK Reproductive Justice Now!, a reproductive justice organization based in Atlanta, Georgia and is an avid comic book reader.
Julia Krase (@juliakrase) is currently scribbling and petting dogs in Portland, Oregon. Her work is usually a product of pent of emotion that can’t be said with words.

Tanya DePass (@ineeddiversegames) is the founder and Director of I Need Diverse Games, a not-for-profit foundation based in Chicago, that is dedicated to better diversification of all aspects of gaming. She is a lifelong Chicagoan who loves everything about gaming, #INeedDiverseGames spawn point, and wants to make it better and more inclusive for everyone. She’s the Founder and EIC of @OutofTokensCast, the Diversity Liaison for GaymerX and often speaks on issues of diversity, feminism, race, intersectionality & other topics at conventions. Her writing appears in Uncanny Magazine, Polygon, Vice Gaming, Waypoint, Wiscon Chronicles, Paste Games and other publications.
Wren Chavers (@notcathi) is doing their best!! A recent graduate of the School of Visual arts they’re working to make all the comics they can!! When they aren’t making comics, they’re making memes or bread or some weird combination of the two.

Steph Kraft Sheley is a lawyer and advocate for reproductive justice. She holds juris doctor and master of health administration degrees from the University of Iowa, where she was honored as a 2016 recipient of the ABA/BNA award for Excellence in the Study of Health Law. A Quad Cities native now residing with her husband near St. Louis, Steph’s creative pursuits have been nurtured by her identical twin, who is a professional artist.
